The National Tripartite Consultative Council Secretariat assists the NTCC in providing a forum where the government and its social partners, the employers and workers meet on equal status to exchange views, and deliberate upon and where necessary, make recommendations on matters referred through policy submission to NEC.

Functional Responsibilities

The functional responsibilities of the NTCC secretariat are to:
• provide technical, administrative and management support to the Council;
• review and strengthen the functions of National Tripartite Consultative Council (NTCC);
• strengthen institutional capacity of employers’ organizations;
• ensure improvements to the climate of Industrial Relations throughout the working environment;
• foster continual exchange of views between the government and representatives of both the Employees and Employers; and
• promote industrial harmony between all concerned parties in the working community.
